Dalia Qarawi

Dalia is a Tax Manager and Tax Trainer with 6+ years of experience, specialising in various direct and indirect tax regimes.

Dalia enhanced her clients’ tax performance, both in the UK and in UAE, by implementing effective improvements utilising her analytical capabilities. She specialises in indirect compliance, advisory and due diligence assignments

Dalia has experience in the UAE handling indirect tax including health checks, review of monthly and quarterly returns as well as providing upskilling for clients from different industries on indirect tax and ESR.
Ali Mehdi

Ali is our Senior Manager and head of tax training at PwC Middle East. He specialises in Taxation and Financial Reporting (IFRS) with special focus on GCC Direct and Indirect Tax landscape.He holds over 12 years of experience in designing and delivering trainings and consultations for clients.
Ali has been involved in the design and implementation of the UAE Corporate Tax diploma - an FTA approved qualification.
Ali’s training methodology stems from his wide range of experience in the field of finance, taxation, and working in multicultural environments, while dealing with all levels of organisation.
Ali has practically performed functions that included IFRS, Direct and Indirect taxation, internal auditing and corporate finance. This enables him to give further practical and technical insights while delivering his training sessions.
Ali is passionate about leadership and believes in fostering strong professional relationships based on respect and mutual benefits.
