PwC's Academy introduces the Young Employable Scholar (YES) Programme in the Middle East, a corporate readiness programme for young, ambitious students in the region. The most unique element of this course is that YES students will obtain a guaranteed 10 month placement along with specialised technical training prior to the internship.
YES Programme offers a unique combination of Bachelors in applied accounting, progress towards ACCA qualification and a paid work placement. Students will be able to put classroom theory into commercial practice on placement, and then relate their practical experience back to their studies.
The programme is delivered by a team of professionals from PwC and is designed to equip students with a range of business skills which will help students develop their future careers.
The YES Programme is divided into two parts: Theoretical Training and Practical Training.
During the first six months of the Academic year, students attend classes for ACCA papers, Employability skills and Assurance Training which is a specialised course for auditors at PwC. Students are trained to be PwC professionals.
In the last year, students submit a 9,500 words thesis to Oxford Brooke's University in the UK to obtain a standard UK University degree.
During the last 5 months of their academic year 2 and 3, students will work with an MNC on a paid internship adding up to 10 months. This will help the students towards obtaining the practical experience necessary to qualify for ACCA membership.
The programme is ideal for high school graduates aspiring towards a career in accountancy and finance. This programme is suitable for individuals who have the vision to think differently, accept challenges, hardworking, self-motivated and the ambition to pursue a career-oriented path to achieve their goals and success.
